Albion spirals are proud to have been selected to manufacture and install a spiral staircase into the world recognised London Monument, Tower Bridge.
During recent remedial and refitting works within Tower Bridge, Albion Design were selected to design, build and install a spiral staircase into the South Tower.
The stair had to be manufactured in component form so it could be moved through the historic building to the installation area within the upper floors of the South Tower.
The stair was designed to fit within the existing steelwork and serve a new mezzanine floor within one of the staff areas.
The spiral stair was moved across the bridge and up through the tower outside of normal hours to prevent any disturbance to the huge number of tourists the bridge attracts.
The installation was completed to suit Tower Bridge public opening hours, with all work likely to cause any noise performed out of hours.
Albion Design completed the installation within the time and space restrictions with no disruptions to the day to day running of this important and popular attraction.
